As every year, the News Impact Summit proved to be a unique space for networking and exchange. It inspired journalists to reflect on their role in serving the public interest and on how to embrace AI responsibly and effectively to enhance their work.
It was a day defined by the relevance of a topic that resonates strongly across the journalism and media innovation community, the role of AI in journalism. There was a shared sense of urgency, but also a powerful intellectual and creative drive to collaborate, building on what already exists while imagining what the future of AI-powered journalism could look like.
Participants valued both the thoughtful reflections and the practical insights shared throughout the day. They left with greater knowledge, fresh perspectives, and meaningful connections that will help them navigate the opportunities and challenges of AI in the newsroom.
This day was made possible by the support of our many partners and the generous backing of the Google News Initiative.
