Major donations and tax-free donating

Major donations allow us to have a straightforward impact on journalism and enable us to act decisively where journalism needs support the most, from funding cross‑border investigations to ensuring journalists can work safely and independently

A few examples from our daily work:

• Support investigative journalism through our IJ4EU programme
• Support a fellowship for a journalist with a major media company in Europe
• Strengthen the work and lobbying we do in creating better conditions for journalism

A Named Fund

Would you like to support journalism for a longer period and in an impactful way? This can be done by setting up a named fund.
You deposit the desired amount in a fund whose name you choose. If you make this as a periodic donation (in the Netherlands), your contributions will be tax-deductible. Donations through your named fund are mentioned in the annual report, the annual accounts, and our website.
