The European Journalism Centre (EJC), in partnership with Google News Initiative (GNI), organised the annual summit in Lisbon, Portugal.

On 12 October 2023, journalists media and journalism students gathered to discuss the future of climate journalism and how it intersects with developing technologies. The Summit was designed to help elevate the field of climate journalism and serve as a hub for knowledge-sharing and networking.

During the summit, participants had the opportunity to engage in a rich agenda of activities, including panel discussions and workshops. The overall objective was to enable knowledge exchange and empower attendees with insight from leading experts in the realm of climate journalism.
