A few days have passed since the News Impact Summit: Fighting climate misinformation. It was an event with great energy generated by the audience's active participation, the speakers' insightful contributions, and the celebration of the Climate Journalism Award winners.
The day provided an in-depth exploration of climate misinformation from multiple perspectives, valuable not only for journalists but also for media professionals, photojournalists, digital creators, and those working directly on these issues in scientific and policy fields. Discussions focused on how to debunk falsehoods about climate change in the media, how to bridge the gap between scientific information and public opinion with the right narrative, how to use data as a comprehensive yet accessible source of information, and how to drive real change among policymakers.
The recognition of five outstanding reports and the impact that these stories have, through the second edition of the Climate Journalism Award, underlines the commitment and urgency to informing societies.
