The YouTube News Creator Accelerator
The YouTube News Creator Accelerator is a 10-week online training programme to help medium-sized, fast-growing independent news creators based in the UK and Germany expand their video presence and audience on YouTube.The European Journalism Centre developed the programme in partnership with YouTube as part of YouTube’s commitment to support a thriving digital news ecosystem.
A group of news-driven YouTube creators, independent journalists and digital-first newsrooms from the UK and Germany were invited to join the programme that includes:
- 10 weeks of training sessions covering content strategy, audience growth, branding, monetisation and more.
- 2-3 hours of learning per week Networking opportunities and 1:1 mentoring sessions that will focus on country-specific media and market trends.
- €17,000 grant to invest in different areas to accelerate growth.
