The annual News Impact Summit, organised by the European Journalism Centre (EJC) in partnership with the Google News Initiative (GNI), was hosted in Lisbon on October 12, 2023
A total of 225 individuals gathered, united by a common mission: to engage in dynamic dialogues regarding the future of climate journalism. Under the guidance of 15 speakers, the event's captivating sessions sparked motivation among all those in attendance.

The Sinking Cities Project, a global cross-border collaborative investigation, gave the answer to this question. The project, led by Ope Adetayo and Tina Lee from Unbias the News, was a remarkable initiative that engaged local journalists from major cities around the world. They uncovered the social, political, and economic implications of climate change.
