    Canada’s Digital Strategy: All talk and no action?

But it could take another year before the Committee makes a set of recommendations to the government on matters like fair dealing and net neutrality, funding for independent creators, Canadian ownership over communications companies and ensuring strong broadband access. Meanwhile, some politicians are asking, 'Why is Canada lagging behind?'

    Canada’s parliament seeks Google’s advice about new media

    Jacob Glick wants the Canadian Federal Government to remember two things: “Everything is converging onto the Internet and this convergence is good for innovation, consumer choice and competition.” Glick, the Canada Policy Counsel at Google, is one of several people who have been addressing the Canadian government's Heritage Committee as it deliberates on a study called Canada and the New Media.
