    Reconciling journalism and political conflict

    Reporting on political conflicts is a daily chore for journalists. In its recent Conflict Barometer, the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research counted 365 political conflicts in 2009, compared to 353 in 2008. Researcher Irmgard Wetzstein examines how a journalism researcher would begin to analyse all the conflict coverage.
