The Personal Democracy Forum-Europe conference in Barcelona gave about 400 tech-savvy political experts a chance to meet and learn from each other's successes and failures. All were passionate. Some discussed how to use the Internet to motivate citizens to care about European-level issues. Others, conversely, wanted to utalise the Internet to prompt local actions on issues which are cross-national in nature (think climate change).
While we haven't exhausted how to use social networking capacity yet, it was clear in Barcelona that the next frontier is how to take those applications and make them available in a robust mobile format.
