    Peace journalism in practice

    The volatile Darfur region in Sudan has since 2003 been rocked by fighting between various groups. The Janjaweed militia there have been accused of trying to cleanse the black population and favouring or making way for Arabs. The application of peace journalism to this situation could have a favourable impact on the status of the conflict.
